NEWS FROM 2008

Alan has now left the building band

During 2008 Alan offiicially left the band. Living in Norwich meant that it had been difficult to take part in gigs and recording of the new album. Although currently involved with a punk band he hopes to team up again with Ian as part of future sessions for The Other Window.

April Fool

Reviews

Reviews for TAOM have been positive. Reviews have appeared in UK magzines: Powerplay (#89, July - 8/10), Zero Tolerance (#18, July - 4/6) & Terrorizer (#159, July - 7/10).

Anatomy of Melancholy received a 9/10 in both the Russian webzine Darkside www.darkside.ru and the Ukranian magazine Terroraiser during 2008.

"This could be easily one of the best doom/death/gothic outfits to come out of the U.K. since My Dying Bride. From the ashes of popular U.K. acts Ashen Mortality and Seventh Angel, My Silent Wake takes the majestic and sorrowful sounds of doom and etches into each passage death metal growls and a subtle thrash-like charge...My Silent Wake could very well be the new discovery for many in 2006. Let's hope so 'cause this album is unrivalled in this genre." 9/10 Unrestrained! Magazine (Issue 31)

"The doom is out in all it's glory here with Arkley's signature guitar-tone that he graced us with in his years with Seventh Angel and Ashen Mortality. The guitars...throughout the album are just the saddest you've ever heard. It's almost as if they are weeping with sorrow...Seventy-nine minutes of breathtaking doom/death metal of the finest quality. 95/100" The Whipping Post

"A mature and impressive debut" Zero Tolerance (July/Aug 06)

"The sound as a whole is a confident blend executed with the effortless cohesion of long-in-the tooth players" Terrorizer (July 06)
